We've had a brilliant summer of beach volleyball so far but we're not done yet! There are TWO...
The wait is nearly over! On 22-23 February, 2020, Manly Beach will play host to what is set to be an incredible spectacle of beach volleyball. With a roster boasting the best players from around NSW, athletes from all across Australia, ex-Olympians and even teams coming from overseas, we are in for an electrifying show of top quality beach volleyball action.
For those looking to hone their skills against athletes from far and wide, registrations for the NSW Open are still open. Entry includes a playing top and there is a prize pool of a whopping $3000 up for grabs. Get your teams together and sign up HERE! Registrations close at 11:59pm on Friday 14 February so don't miss out!
Some of the best up and coming athletes from around the Nation will also be competing in the U19 & U21 Australian Beach Volleyball Championship (ABVC) which is sure to provide even more exciting viewing.
Along with these opportunities, we always encourage spectators to come and enjoy the action. Spectator entry is completely FREE so get your friends, families and communities down to experience some of the best volleyball this year. There will be entertainment throughout and raffle tickets sold helping raise funds to directly help those devasted by the recent bushires. Our partner charity Treading Lightly Inc. have been doing brilliant work helping those in need on the NSW South Coast and with your help they can continue to rebuild the community and work towards a sustainable future. Keep an eye out for our team who will be selling tickets throughout.

NSW Open 2020
State Volleyball New South Wales are excited to present the 2020 NSW Open, held at Manly Beach (North Steyne, Manly NSW 2095) on 22-23 February, 2020. This event will be jam packed with quality volleyball action from the best athletes across NSW and from interstate.
Division 1 (4 star) will comprise of the Top 16 seeded teams* based on National Ranking Points, with Division 2 (3 Star) our Open category for all other registered athletes. This is a brilliant chance for players to make their mark and hone their skills against athletes of various skill levels from across New South Wales and beyond.
There is a huge prize pool of $3,000 on offer.

Expression of Interest - Participant for New Volleyball Australia Level 2 Referee Course (Beach and Indoor)
Manly Library Meeting Room (TBC, Venue may possibly change)
5.30-9.30pm, Saturday 8th February 2020
Volleyball Australia are launching a new Level 2 Referee Course this summer. The course will now be presented in an integrated mode covering both beach and indoor volleyball officiating. It is also aimed to be delivered with a more practical approach.
Under an initiative to promote beach volleyball refereeing, and also to promote national consistency in the application of the most up to date rules of the game, this course would be delivered free of charge this summer. Participants who complete the course would receive a Level 2 Candidate Accreditation*.
-The participant must be at least 14 years old
-The candidate must have a Volleyball Australia Level 1 Referee Accreditation (This course can be done online prior to the Level 2 Course*)
-Be a registered member of your State Volleyball Association

The Australian Beach Volleyball Championships for both female and male athletes U19 and U21 will take place on:
- February 22nd - 23nd, 2020
- At Manly Beach in Sydney, NSW.
Age Groups for ABVC are as follows:
- U19 - Player must not turn 19 years old, or older, during the year of the event
- This division will be state based only. Teams will be selected to represent their respected state. Teams cannot be made up of players from different states.
- U21 - Player must not turn 21 years old, or older, during the year of the event
- This division will be open. A team can be made up of players from different states. State based teams will be accepted.
